Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of August 31, 2025

by David Himmel

President Donald Trump has chronic venous insufficiency. While common and not a major health risk, it’s brought up concerns that the old man may not be too long for this world. Huh… It would be hilarious if Trump died before Joe Biden. All that false bravado revealed.

• It would also be funny if Trump died in office because the GOP and far right would certainly spin off its axis and collide fantastically into the dumpster fire it’s been stoking for years.

• Furthermore, it would be riotous if Trump died in office before Biden because the Democrats and far left would see it is a victory then go on to continue contradicting their self-proclaimed caring nature by celebrating a person’s death while maintaining their do-nothing-effective approach to governing.

• I have always avoided falling into stereotype. It has served me well. It has also cast me out.

• Getting divorced and sharing your kids 50 percent of the time reduces your risk of getting sick by 50 percent. Just something to think about this cold and flu season.

• Little bricks build a big house. And little problems build a strong case for losing your mind, burning your life down, and ending up speaking tongues to yourself on Lower Wacker.
