Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of Augsust 23, 2025
• The line between passion and anger is not always fine.
• Doesn’t matter how cool your tattoos are. If you have a man purse, you’re not the man who runs into the fire to save your kids. You’re the man who watches his kids burn to death then blames the underfunded, but over lauded fire department.
• Our common enemy is ourselves.
• I have a lot of stuff in my pockets. I love a good bag. My life would be more comfortable with a nice, crossbody man purse. But that’s not manly. Manly is suffering. It’s breathing through the discomfort and redirecting the rage you gain from taking on all the hardships required of you to be a good man—a man of quality character—and redirect it toward drugs and alcohol to soothe pain. By making your life more comfortable with an accessory reserved for women and horses, you cease being a man.
• Things are real bad for the people in Gaza. But at least they don’t have to visit the Apple Genius Bar twice in as many weekends to have their devices serviced.
• Everyone has a story to tell. Most of us should keep them confined to a small circle of patient friends.
