Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of August 10, 2025

by David Himmel

• The sign of real, true love is that it is resistant to the hardships and bullshit we create for ourselves.

• The only difference between a 3-year-old and a teenager is that the teenager is potty trained and has their own phone.

• A good car nap is a gift from the gods.

• It’s nice that our sports teams don’t have old, racist names anymore, but, um, what about affordable healthcare? Priorities matter. Not saying we can’t fix both, but, you know, priorities.

• The only way to really make America great again, is to resurrect John Candy. Which is ironic because he was Canadian.

• It’s not the amount of booze I drink which proves I have issues with addiction. It’s the way I shred my skin to ribbons scratching mosquito bites.
